What makes a good teacher is not their masterfulness but their presence.
A teacher inspires their students to a greater level of accomplishment by intimately knowing and understanding the student/s’ perspective.
Depth of connection facilitates transmission and receptivity.
As a teacher, being present, aware, and responsive to my students allows me to effectively grow and learn along with my student/s’ blossoming.
The famous proverb: "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear" could easily be inverted.
As a teacher, I learn greatly from my students. My “readiness” is my capacity to tune in to my students’ aptitude, and to dynamically flow with the creative process of learning.
When the teacher is ready... when I am attuned to the perception of my student(s)
...is when the magic happens!
