Highlights of 2022 Dance of Shakti
Thank you to all who attended, participated, and supported our two seasons of ‘Dance of Shakti’.
It was deep, rich, and greatly rewarding to create this full-length ritual dance performance from scratch in one month, two seasons in a row (2022 and 2023)! Please scroll down to read more about our project goals and accomplishments.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Dance of Shakti is about birthing an innovative Odissi Dance and Sacred Poetry performance.
Our themes are dedicated to expressing the resilience, beauty, and power of the feminine.
Revital’s past productions include “Devotion” (2012), “Shakti Rising” (2013), “Ocean of Bliss” (2014), “Lotus Moon” (2015), and “Divine Love” (2020), “Dance of Shakti” (2022-2023).
In Dance of Shakti, a diverse group of professional dancers joined under the artistic direction of Revital Carroll to create a cross-disciplinary original ritual performance.
We express a colorful tapestry of dynamic storytelling and devotional themes to usher the audience into a place where sensuality and spirituality meet in the depths of our human hearts.
ABOUT THE DANCERS
We have worked so far with a total of seven dancers ranging in age, ethnicity, and background. (India, USA, Iceland, Portugal, Canada, France, Israel).
We strive to bridge between East and West, ancient and modern, by including dancers of varied ancestry.
In ‘Dance of Shakti’ we enter a creative process of branching out of our traditional art into a contemporary expression. With a fresh perspective, we weave together a tapestry of power, grace, and wisdom into a multi-disciplinary dance performance.
We are each unique and yet united in our devotional spirit and love for Odissi dance, our passion for spiritual cultivation, and our commitment to transformational art.
OUR GOALS
Our mission is to deliver the message of unity and peace to where it is needed most. We aim to inspire both performers and audiences to rise together to experience the sacred in all aspects of life.
Our goals are multifold:
Provide professionally trained dancers a platform to develop, express, and transform through sacred dance and expand their audience reach.
Bridging between traditional and contemporary art.
Bring ancient cultures' art into modern stages and diverse audiences.
We are open to invitations to bring our performance to your event.
