Viniyogas are the applications or usages of the various dance hand gestures, as described in the Abhinaya Darpana. The first mudra of the dance gestures sequence is Pataaka. It is an open flat hand, iconically recognized as Abhaya Mudra in the Yoga and pan-Indian religious iconography. Abhaya translated as “courage” or “protection” is only one of the dozens of ways we can use this hand gesture.

Revital shares a wealth of knowledge that is holistic in nature. Her years of experience and passion for Indian Classical Dance allows her to transmit the Mudras of Dance in a way that is accessible to all levels. It is rare to find a teacher that is offering this level of instruction on the classic mudras. As a student of this dance form, I feel it has opened up a whole new level of expression. It is truly a precious gift. Thank you Revital!
