Dance Bio
Revital has been dedicated to the practice of Indian spiritual arts for over 20 years. Yoga and meditation led her to discover her passion for Indian Dance, where she finds the sensual and the spiritual expressing as one. She is an internationally acclaimed performer and she teaches workshops and retreats worldwide. Revital draws her inspiration from the elements of nature, the wisdom of her own body, and the rich spiritual heritage of ancient India. Her teachings are guided by a sweet devotion to life, and her classes weave together intensity, surrender, and joyful play.

Native to the land of Israel, Revital was born and raised on a kibbutz at the foothills of the Carmel Mountains. In the earliest years of her youth she was gripped by a deep spiritual longing which she secretly nurtured in her time alone. Without a teacher, or even exposure to eastern spiritual methods, she began practicing a ki
nd of Yoga discipline, involving chanting, postures, ecstatic dance, specific diet and meditation. These practices came to her purely through Inner Guidance.
In 1991, the intensity of her spiritual longing pulled her to India where, at last, she found her spiritual home and heritage. Under the tutelage of accomplished teachers and yogis, she undertook intensive studies in Yoga, meditation, and classical Indian Dance. She has been a devoted student of Yoga and dance ever since.
In 1996, Revital fell in love with Odissi Dance at Konark Natya Mandap in Orissa, India. Since then, she has enjoyed the rare opportunity to study under the direct tutelage of Late Guru Gangadhar Pradhan and Aruna Mohanty of ODA, Guru Bichitrananda Swain of Rudrakshya, and recently joined the performing group of Guru Shradha in the bay area, CA, while learning from and dancing with the renowned Sujata Mohapatra and Ratikant Mohapatra of Srjan, the home school of late Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra.
Revital experiences and views Odissi as a powerful Yoga practice, a true Yoga Dance that connects body and spirit, and can deliver the dancer and audience into pure Divine Presence. It is due to this insight that Revital is especially passionate about sharing this ancient temple dance with students and audiences who feel a spiritual calling.
Revital has taught Yoga and Dance in Israel, Europe, India and U.S.A. In 1999 she moved to Northern California where she taught extensively, directed two Yoga studios, and served for two years as Yoga Director of the Body-Mind-Spirit Conference in Santa Clara. She moved in 2005 to Prescott, AZ where she was the co-owner, with her husband Cain Carroll, of Yoga Shala for 4 years. she is currently back in Northern CA, sharing her love of dance, yoga, and nature.
Revital travels internationally to perform and teach Odissi Dance and Shakti Yoga. She is available for booking performances, workshops and retreats in Yoga and dance.
